Encourage One Another

A constant message throughout scripture is:

ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER.

See, for example, 1 Thessalonians 4:17; 5:11; Hebrew 10:26.

Throughout human history, and this has not changed in our day and time, society highlights all the bad things in life. YES, all of us are sinners; all of us are failures; all of us fall short of the glory of God.

But EVEN THEN, God desires to encourage us. God encourages us by his mighty words and promises and messages. Flowing out of God's heart of heart, we summons all of us to encourage one another.

How can each of us do this? Here are some initial prompts. Add to YOUR list.

*Send an encouraging card

*Call a person on the phone and thank that person for who he or she is and what he or she does

*Greet a person with a friendly smile and a hearty handshake

*Give a hug

*Plant a big kiss on the cheek

*Pat a person on the back, and say: I am so thankful for YOU.

There are so many ways we can encourage one another. Let's spread this epidemic throughout our families, our churches, our communities, our states, our nations.

Share YOUR thoughts with others. Let me hear from YOU.

  • You, Dr. Willis, are one of the most encouraging people I have known in my life, perhaps the most encouraging of all. You live this word from God for all to see, and it is such a good, good thing to see. May God bless you as you bless other mightily!
